Three Basic Questions To Becoming A Difference Maker
Every human being wants to live a life that is meaningful but few know how to do so. We all want to achieve greatness but many times we get stuck on how to go about it. Many people ask the question, “How do I make a mark that will leave a lasting legacy for those coming after me?” Well, I think the answer is in three very basic questions:
First Question: WHAT DO I WANT TO BE?
The first question that is essential in developing our lives is defining what we want to be. This is a very basic question but many people struggle in being able to define what they want to be. Our upbringing, experiences or environment many times prevents us from clearly defining what we want to be. You have to clearly state what you want to be first in order to make a mark. Everything is possible but many times we are conditioned to think that some things are impossible.
Second Question: WHAT DO I WANT TO DO?
Who you want to be will largely determine what you will do but you have to answer this question clearly too. What do you want to do physically, mentally and spiritually? The answer to this question will enable you to develop a game plan for your daily life. What you do daily determines who you become permanently. It is important that you do only those things that will enable you to be the person you want to be. This question enables you to focus only on those things that are priority in your life.
Third question: WHAT DO I WANT TO HAVE?
The answer to this question will be determined by the answers to the first two questions. What do I want to have in life? You must outline this in terms of the physical, mental and spiritual goals you have in life. For example, some of the things I want to have are a healthy body, an intelligent mind and a heart that cares. Define what you want to have in life. Most people narrow their definitions to money and property but these should never be a goal because if you do the right things and be true to who you want to be, money and property will never be a problem.
Clear answers to these questions are essential if you will make a mark. Go ahead and pursue your passions. You have to be and do before you can have. Make a mark.
