Cause-Based Living

Filed under: Herman's Thoughts — Herman Najoli @ 1:46 am

One of the laws of life that I’ve been thinking of of late is the law of cause and effect. One famous speaker has said that “Your job is to institute the causes that are consistent with the effects that you want to enjoy in your life. When you do, you will realize and enjoy the rewards you desire.”

As I thought about this, the idea of ‘Cause-Based Living’ crossed my mind. Now, I know we live in a culture that continues to coin so many cliches about life and self-development but I think this is powerful. Cause-based living simply means focusing on doing the right things upfront so that you can get the results you want later.

One of the fallacies that we could easily get trapped in is the desire for the results without having instituted the causes first. The law of cause and effect simply urges us to realize that causes come before effects. Our actions on the front end determine our results on the back end. If you pay the price now you will enjoy the results later.
